
Serving as the Founding Chairman and Chief Tax Advisor of ACG is Raymond Abrea. He is a Certified Public Accountant who has not stopped studying in order to advance his advocacy of tax reform. He has taken up a Master’s in Business Administration at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business and has recently started his journey at the Harvard Kennedy School. A tax advocate at heart, he has been the founder of three organizations – the Asian Consulting Group, the Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines, and TaxWhizPH.
Standing beside him and working as the Chairman of ACG is Jose Magsaysay, Jr., who has put his considerable experience in entrepreneurship behind ACG. Best known for establishing the flavored fries franchise Potato Corner, he has received numerous awards and has completed several entrepreneurship-related degrees from the Asian Institute of Management and the Harvard Business School. His story is truly one of success, starting from the bottom of the proverbial ladder, to the top.
To complete the heads of ACG, we also have Elmer “Bong” Aspe, the man behind 1st Colonial Grill, home of the best sili ice-cream in Legazpi, Albay. He started his business career from owning a pawnshop and eventually grew to managing a restaurant business. Through innovation and perseverance, he has managed to succeed in his business ventures and has now brought his experience to ACG.
Acting as the company’s corporate secretary is Atty. Eirene Jhone Aguila, a lawyer whose practice ranges from dispute resolution to crisis management, start-ups and mergers and acquisitions to aviation, entertainment, healthcare, family, commercial, and criminal law. She is also a member of the faculty of law at the Far Eastern University and at the Ateneo de Naga University School of Law. She has also held consultancy positions at various government agencies.
Also part of the company’s BOD is Hazel Mendoza, the current corporate secretary and the Chief Operating Officer and Tax Manager of Asian Consulting Group. She oversees the operations and management of the company while bringing in clients and helping them with their tax issues and audits. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
Aside from its officers, the Asian Consulting Group is also supported by its independent directors.
Santiago “Santi” Dumlao, Jr., the Secretary General of the Association of Credit Rating Agencies in Asia (ACRAA), has also contributed his business experiences to ACG. In his 57-year business career, he has held several senior business executive positions and worked as a business consultant. He is a lawyer who earned his degree from the University of the Philippines and his MBA degree from the Harvard Business School.
Another independent director working with ACG is Enrique “Eric” Caeg. He is the President of the Retail Academy Philippines, and the Chairman of the Association of Filipino Franchisers, Inc. (AFFI), He is also the Founding President of the International Council for Small Business Philippines (ICSB Ph).
