“For those who earn more must give more, for those who earn less,” stated Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Billy Dulay during the launching of the Tax Guide for Small Businesses at his office today, April 5, 2017. It was a brief program attended by BIR CIR Billy Dulay himself, the Philippine Tax Whiz Mr. Mon Abrea, together with Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines Board of Trustees Atty. Euney Marie Mata-Perez, Atty. Penny Policarpio III, and Ms. Carole Malenab from the office of Sen. Bam Aquino. Our partner, the Association of the Filipino Franchisers Inc. (AFFI) was represented by Executive Vice-president Ms. Josephine See.
The Tax Guide for Small Businesses presents a more detailed reference for startups and small businesses who may not have accountants to help them comply with BIR requirements especially in accomplishing tax returns. It will be available in all BIR offices to help our taxpayers especially the first time taxpayers.
Let us pay the right taxes on time! April 17 is the deadline for filing of annual income tax returns for this year 2017 since April 15 falls on a Saturday and a holiday.
