Advocacy Programs

Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the most frequently asked tax questions of entrepreneurs and professionals. In collaboration with various professional and business organizations, entrepreneurs and professionals are given an opportunity to discuss freely their tax concerns and to share their insights and recommendations on how to increase voluntary compliance from their sector.

Mentoring is an exclusive Q&A session with the Tax Whiz for 15-30 minutes, preferably start-ups or entrepreneurs without pending BIR case. This is a tie-up program with Go Negosyo and Abrea Consulting Group.

School Caravan. This features the Project Resibo Ko, Boto ko para sa Bayan Ko (PRBB) campaign to visit selected colleges and universities nationwide. This is in partnership with the Association of Filipino Franchisers Inc. as well as the Office of Senator Bam Aquino, National Youth Commission and other youth organizations like the Ayala Young Leaders Alumni Association, Gerry Roxas Leadership Awardee-Alumni Association, Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP), Young Public Servants-Youth Vote of the Philippines, GK Enchanted Farm’s Social Enterprises, Institute for Social Enterprises, Voice of the Youth among others.

The objective of this program is to promote responsible citizenship among the youth. We consider them as the “Pag-asa ng Bayan” and teaching and empowering them to do the right thing such as asking for receipt or voting for honest and good leaders of the country is necessary in building this nation for a better future.

Round Table Discussion. CSR Philippines conducts Round Table Discussion (RTD) on the impact of our tax system in doing business in our country. This is an exclusive session with the Philippine Tax Whiz attended by the officers and members of professional associations, business chambers or family businesses and other corporations.

The objective of this program is to educate and make the attendees appreciate more on the importance of taxes in uplifting the lives of the people and how we, taxpayers, can be advocates in reforming the tax system.

Tax Roadshow. CSR Philippines goes around the different provinces in the Philippines to conduct a series of Round Table Discussions among different businesses and organizations such as the Junior Chamber International, Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and Industry among others to promote the Integrity Pledge and Seal of Honesty. In partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), we also visit the Negosyo Centers and distribute free Tax Komiks, a guide in Tagalog on how to register one’s business faster and more efficient and on the taxes one needs to pay.

The objective of this program is to continue to reach to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that significantly contribute to the economic growth. They comprise 99.6% of all registered enterprises in the country. We also conduct this globally in order to reach out to OFWs abroad in the hopes of encouraging them to go home and do business in the Philippines instead.

Pamaskong Handog para sa Kabataan (PHK). This is an annual outreach program of CSR Philippines held every December in partnership with YesPinoy Foundation. Every year, we bring smiles to the faces of a chosen beneficiary which usually comprises five hundred (500) kids and make them feel the magic of the Christmas season. This also serves for partners of CSR Philippines such as Association of Filipino Franchisers Inc., Go Negosyo among others to gather in one event as a way of saying thank you for all the blessings that we have received for the year.

Tax Academy of the Philippines. Got a question about taxes? Ask the Tax Whiz! After the release of the bestselling tax handbook and first-ever tax comics to promote tax awareness among all taxpayers across the country, ACG, in partnership with various professional and business organizations, continues to reach out to all taxpayers, tax agents and tax collectors through the Tax Academy of the Philippines. It offers strategic tax management program, tax seminars and certification courses to cover basic tax principles, compliance requirements and tax planning. For more information about the Tax Academy of the Philippines, contact: Jose Chua (Program Coordinator): consult@acg.ph, (02) 622-7720

And in partnership with the Office of Senator Bam Aquino, Go Negosyo, Association of Filipino Franchisers Inc., YesPinoy Foundation and Tax Management Association of the Philippines (TMAP), we have also published the first ever Tax Komiks (in Tagalog) entitled “VAT Ganun?
