The Nationwide Tax Roadshow assisted small business owners in Pampanga on Thursday, November 15. The two-part event was held at Heroes’ Hall, San Fernando, Pampanga.
The Asian Consulting Group (ACG) held the event as part of the social enterprise’s initiative to promote tax education.
The Philippine Tax Whiz Mon Abrea led the project, conducting a back-to-back tax seminar and roundtable discussion.
The morning’s tax seminar was held at the Heroes’ Hall, San Fernando, Pampanga. The tax expert discussed the most common questions asked by startup and small businesses. He also provided guidance on basic tax compliance and other tax principles.
The Founding President of ACG also discussed the ongoing tax reform and how businesses can take advantage of its provisions.
Without properly learning about taxes, taxpayers could incur unnecessary penalties due to failed compliance. ACG seeks to help taxpayers avoid these penalties by educating them how to handle taxes. In its seven years, ACG has helped over 10,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises.
In the afternoon, the Philippine Tax Whiz held a roundtable discussion with the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The tax expert presented the problematic nature of the BIR Audit and how to get rid of it the right way.
He also conducted a free consultation session for the attendees of the event.
The Nationwide Tax Roadshow is a project led by the Asian Consulting Group and the Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines. Partners of the program include the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the DTI Negosyo Center.
The Nationwide Tax Roadshow is set to visit Laoag on November 19 to 20, Bacolod on November 23 to 24, and Cavite on November 28. If you wish to join our advocacy and be a part of the Nationwide Tax Roadshow, you can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org or via (02) 622-7720.
