The Philippine Tax Whiz Raymond Abrea, founding President of the Asian Consulting Group (ACG), attended as a speaker on Globe Telecom’s Insights Summit 2018, held on June 18 at the Globe Tower, Taguig City. He discussed the impact of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN Law) on businesses and the life of Filipinos.
He addressed the benefits and criticisms about TRAIN Law and provided summaries of the provisions changed that the law amended. He further went on to explain the proposed Package 1B and 2 of TRAIN Law, currently being reviewed by the House of Representatives.
The Insights Summit 2018 is the fourth in a series of seminars targeted toward senior leaders, and marketing and sales employees. In its first year, Globe Telecom, Inc.’s Insights Summit was attended by more than 200 attendees, followed by more than 300 attendees in succeeding sessions on 2016 and 2017.

The Asian Consulting Group promotes taxpayer education and awareness. Through its Tax Whiz Academy program, the social enterprise holds seminars and certification courses on basic tax principles, compliance requirements, and tax planning. The group also conducts seminars to address the changes made by TRAIN Law.
